The site at Copthorne (below Gatwick) had been used for light industrial use for many years and had successive tenants whose activities lead to various degrees of land contamination. Primary Aggregates were involved from the beginning of the project to completion, guiding the client through the classification, testing, segregation and ultimately disposing of the contaminated spoil to both landfill and soil treatment facilities to ensure the site was properly remediated; not only adhering to the required legislation, but to best practice within the industry.

Primary Aggregates also supplied the full arrange of quarried fill material and Roadstone to complete the remediation and ultimately to allow the site to be redeveloped into luxury housing.

“We were very proud to have been involved in this significant project from start to finish, with our involvement lasting for almost two years. We have already begun work on the next remediation project with this client and continue to cement our relationship” Says Michael O’Leary
